Boar spear

A nineteenth-century reproduction from the Arsenal's end rack, consisting of two metres of sound ash tipped by a leaf-shaped head. Taken by Owen in place of an original halberd, its riveted crossbar tore loose during a Rook-Hound's charge and now rests in his pocket. The spear itself leans against the wall beside the door, sharp, raw, and un-attuned.

Chapter 1Exchange Pieces
- Description
- Taken from the wall rack by the fire door in place of a four-hundred-year-old halberd; used last month for a handling session. Owen reports the Assay's read as Common, Raw, sharp and not attuned.
- Condition
- The crossbar caught against a display case during the second Rook-Hound's charge and tore loose from its sheared rivet; Owen keeps the bar in his coat pocket.
Chapter 4Room for the Living
- Condition
- Vic drives out the broken shank, eases the bend in the bar, cuts and sets a new mild-steel rivet in a padded clamp vice on the cloakroom counter, and tests the bar against a rolled mat. It can still catch sideways; he asks for it to be checked after any hard use.
