A distant station on the high coast, a pale block above the sea with an old road below and a frame of shutter slats on its face, seen through the island tower’s tubes. Its shutters repeat one order about every forty minutes, and its reply to the island tower ended in a fast pattern nobody can yet read. Who works it is unknown.
