A second bronze route book from a sea-crusted rack beneath the island station, its leaves sized like the first folio’s but darker and stained along one edge. Vic is sure the notched tongue on its spine fits the slot of the handleless cabinet by the archive hatch. Its road climbs past the arches to a line of station squares, the last above the sea.
