station bridge
Item
A short folding bridge on the island landing, spanning a water-filled cut before the station door, lowered by hand and locked by two hinge pins. A handline is fitted across the span, and the second pin has a notch beside its worn track for putting the bridge away. It stands open with both pins home, giving passage between the station door and the dinghy.
